BMI REGISTRATION

Definition: Preparing and submitting songwriter or publisher registration to BMI so the rights holder can collect performance royalties.

ASCAP REGISTRATION

Definition: Preparing and submitting songwriter or publisher registration to ASCAP to enable performance royalty collection and work registration.

ARTIST BUDGET SHEET

Definition: An itemized financial plan for a project (single, EP, album, tour) showing projected income, expenses, and cashflow.

SPLIT SHEET

Definition: A signed document recording each contributor’s ownership percentage of a composition or recording to prevent disputes and support PRO filings.
Deliverables: signed PDF with contributor names, PRO/IPI IDs, and percentage splits; guidance for registering splits with PROs.

BMI RESEARCH ONLY

Definition: Targeted lookup in BMI databases to confirm existing registrations, writer/publisher affiliations, and registered splits.

ASCAP RESEARCH ONLY

Definition: Targeted lookup in ASCAP databases to confirm registrations, affiliations, and splits.

ISRC DATABASE RESEARCH ONLY

Definition: Verification or discovery of International Standard Recording Codes (ISRCs) for specific sound recordings.
Deliverables: list of ISRCs with associated recording metadata and notes on missing or conflicting codes.

COPYRIGHTS

Definition: Preparation and filing of copyright registrations for compositions and/or sound recordings with the relevant copyright office.
Deliverables: completed filing package, submission confirmation, and tracking of registration certificate; guidance on deposit materials.

LOD LETTER

Definition: Drafting a Letter of Direction that authorizes a third party to collect or receive specified royalties on a rights holder’s behalf.
Deliverables: tailored LOD document, signature instructions, and submission guidance for the payor (PRO, distributor, SoundExchange).

FULL ALBUM RESEARCH PRE ALBUM

Definition: Comprehensive metadata and rights audit for an entire album before release, confirming PRO registrations, ISRCs, splits, sample clearances, and ownership chains.
Deliverables: master checklist, gap analysis, remediation plan, and prioritized action items to clear release risks.

ADMINISTRATOR RETAINER — 8 MONTHS TERM

Definition: Ongoing administration agreement for a fixed 8‑month term in which the administrator handles registrations, royalty monitoring, metadata updates, and dispute resolution on the client’s behalf.
Deliverables: retainer agreement specifying scope; monthly activity reports; registration and correction work; royalty follow‑ups; invoicing and expense tracking; onboarding documentation.
